Moulding
From manual labour to fully automatic

At Ohm&Häner, we offer a wide range of moulding techniques, from traditional hand moulding to fully automated processes. Whether you need customised individual parts, prototypes, small batches or large series production - we have the right solution for your requirements.

Core making:

  • State-of-the-art automatic core shooters
  • 5 to 60 litre volume

Sand preparation:

  • Modern PC- and PLC-controlled systems for optimum sand preparation

3 fully automatic moulding lines with box sizes:

  • 700 x 630 x 180+70 / 200 mm - up to 240 moulds/h
  • 805 x 725 x 300+70 / 200 mm - up to 80 moulds/h
  • 1,300 x 1,000 x 250 / 320 / 450 / 520 mm - up to 30 moulds/h

Machine moulding with jolt squezze pinlift process:

  • 6 moulding machines for > 20 moulding box sizes from 470 x 345 mm to 1,500 x 800 or 1,400 x 1,250 mm

Hand mould casting using the cold resin process:

  • Boxless moulds up to 3,400 x 1,800 x 1,400 mm or 14 tonnes for sophisticated individual parts"

Casting
From sand to permanent mould, from Al to Cu

Ohm&Häner offers a broad casting spectrum - our experience covers a wide range of techniques and materials to meet the most diverse customer requirements.

Sand casting:

  • AL casting alloys: Primary and remelted alloys according to EN1706, plus special alloys not standardised in the EU, unit weights from 0.020 - 2,000 kg.
  • CU casting alloys: Red brass, tin bronze, aluminium bronze, Cu conductivity casting, CuZn21Si3P approved for drinking water and lead-free Rg+ for unit weights of 0.1 - 250 kg in small series.

Permanent mould casting:

  • AL casting alloys: Primary and remelting alloys Casting machines for gravity and tilt casting technology with clamping plates from 500 x 300 mm to 1,250 x 1,000 mm for small and medium series, unit weights from 0.005 - 80 kg.

Machining
From CNC to the finished assembly

Ohm&Häner offers comprehensive machining options - from precise CNC machining to the assembly of complete subassemblies. Our range covers a wide variety of requirements in order to provide you with customised solutions at the highest level. Our machine park includes over 50 turning and milling centres.

Mechanical machining:

  • CNC machining: Precise CNC turning, 4- and 5-axis machining.
  • DNC networking: Efficient production thanks to integrated programming stations
  • Conventional machining: Traditional production methods.
  • Fixture construction: Customised tools and aids produced with CAD/CAM technologies.
  • Assembly: Assembly into finished assemblies

Surface treatment in-house and with partners:

  • - Mechanical pre-treatment: Ball polishing, polishing, trovalising, blasting
  • - Chemical priming: degreasing, pickling, phosphating, chromating
  • - Coatings: Wet painting, powder coating, anodising, plastic coating, KTL dip coating
  • - Wear layers: Polyurethanes, PTFE, hard anodising, electroless nickel plating, plasma flame spraying, etc
